Review on Ultimate Sun Protection: UV Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 by Holly Smith

As someone with early stage melanoma who needs to protect themselves when going out and whose doctor has recommended a lotion with at least 5% zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, I have done a lot of research on lotions with UVA/UVB protection . Whenever I'm outside for an extended period, swimming or sweating, I always use what I think is a good strength, waterproof sunscreen. But if I'm just driving or not going to be in the sun for a while, I like to use a lotion that doesn't make me look spooky or smell like I'm at the beach! Well, this EltaMD UV lotion goes perfectly with it. The lotion is easy to apply, absorbs quickly and leaves no white residue. It's not greasy or thick like regular sunscreen, nor does it smell like it. There's a very faint smell that's hard to describe, but it definitely doesn't smell like the usual sunscreen you'd recognize. My skin feels soft after applying and even better it has 30 SPF and 7% Zinc Oxide. I also like the pump dispenser which makes dosing easier than pouring. So I give it top marks as a moisturizer and as a sunscreen.
