I have seen a few reports of data not working with this accessory. Here is the reason.IF you have a 2021-2022 Model 3/Y Tesla left out the data port to the USB module due to chip shortages. The connector is in the console, but you need to buy an after market module that has a data port plug. These are readily found online and easy to swap out.After I put in the new module, this unit still does not recognize data when a usb drive with music files is put into any of the ports. The console ports themselves will recognize the usb drive and play music when you plug it directly into the console, so it is this device that is defective.All the ports except the passenger side USB-C port work to charge my phone.Even with replacing the USB console module to accept data, this accessory is nothing more than a glorified charging port with only 3of4 ports actually working to charge.I had high hopes for this product as I really like having the ports readily accessible on top of the console.
