This drain hose fits my Toro MX5060 with Kawasaki FR691V engine. I was forced to make this purchase because the Toro OEM plastic drain plug failed on an oil change earlier this year. Here's how it went wrong ---> When I slipped the clear plastic drain hose (supplied with the mower) over the plastic drain plug, the pressure loosened the threads where the drain plug screws into the engine. When I tried tightening the drain plug, I found that the plastic became very soft and fell off immediately. blow. Did the oil interact with the plastic in any way? (I use Kawasaki brand oil) On a summer day while mowing, the engine gets very hot --- did the hot/cold water circuits turn the plastic to a mush? Also, I was surprised at how thin the plastic was on the drain plug. The sidewalls of the drain plug were about 1/16 inch thick. Conclusion: I am very glad that in this case the drain plug failed! (in the garage before I even started the engine) If it failed while mowing, all the oil could spill onto the lawn - causing the engine to stall. Dear Kawasaki, I appreciate this new drain hose - but since I paid $5,000 for this mower, can you put these things on the machines from the start? If that $10 plastic drain plug breaks and the engine stalls, I need $1,000 to $2,000 to fix it.
