So far it is based on daily use by a sixth grader.
So far so good. We have been using these cords for the past few months to attach my daughter's backpack and violin to her cart at school and so far they have not caused any problems. The carabiners loosen and re-attach each day as we adjust the cords for the days she doesn't need a violin at school, and so far none of them have broken. The cords themselves stretch well and none have broken yet. We're talking almost constant daily use by a sixth grader for the past few months, so the fact that they're still holding up makes them worth the money to me.
