I have had chronic problems with tight calves which recently resulted in Achilles tendinitis in both ankles. Stiffness is worst in the morning. I only bought one shoe to try on. The boot is bulky but comfortable and easy to wear. My foot seemed to slip a little in the boot and I doubted it would help but I put it on at night. I sleep well and have had no sleep problems. The bulkiness can be a big problem for those who are light sleepers. When I got up the next day, I found it almost difficult to walk because the foot that was in the boot moved much better than the other. I have just ordered a second pair of boots to wear on both feet at night. NOTE: These tires are not suitable for walking. The lower part is made of soft plush with soft cardboard inserts. The structure will quickly collapse under stress.
