Our Cooking Droid: Kitchen & Dining

For comparison, we bought an Instant Pot a few years ago. It was an image! He had an issue that caused him to read and shut off BURN during the cooking process. While it works well, the time saved for relatively quick meals like rice was minimal, which is true for Foodi as well. I tried to find an instant bank to solve this problem but after more than 10 hours without success. After one last FIRE, I threw this thing away in a fit of frustration (not my last lesson!). Fortunately, this gave us the opportunity to purchase this item on Black Friday. I was willing to give it back if the experience was like a potty burn. NO WAY! It's way healthier than the Instant Pot. The pressure cooker works similarly but without the BURN button. The advantage is the wider base pan, which is used because of the fryer function. It's better and heats up faster than a narrow tall instant pot. The fryer makes it in the first place. We've had friends who love their fryer, but we don't fry much of the time. Until we got the deep fryer and "got it". It improves the texture of many things we used to cook in the microwave. On the space of a unit we get much more. Now we use this thing almost every day. Another thing added by subtracting is almost useless quick function keys overloading the instant bank. Foodi doesn't have the best! The display is much brighter. It's odd that the fryer lid is still attached when using a pressurized lid, but that's easily overcome. The only downside we've had so far is that the power cord is about 6 inches shorter than we'd like. Bonus, he looks a bit like a Star Wars droid.
