Review on 🎨 FolkArt Home Decor Chalk Finish Paint Set - 12-Pack, 8 Ounce Bottles by Tara Ford

I bought this and several other chalk paints from the same brand to freshen up my bathroom vanity. I had planned the whole look in my head and to be honest it turned out even better than I expected. I cleaned the whole piece, attached the appliqués to the existing vanity with gorilla wood glue, taped and painted everything. a mix of red and mustard chalk paint from this set. I then rubbed petroleum jelly on the areas I wanted to show as worn and painted over them with the green from the kit and the dark blue chalk paint I bought separately. (I come from a formal background and have been drawing and painting murals for many years, so if you are inexperienced you may not want to use this method.) Then I rubbed the piece with petroleum jelly to remove the areas and got that red. / Mustard layer shines through. I also sanded down the details in the parts I wanted to make even meaner. It turned out great and the appliques really added another dimension to the product. I knew I wanted to finish off the look with a mix of navy blue and green and it was really pretty. It's easy to mix. I left it sketchy but I like how it contrasts. Overall I am very happy with the result. Since this is our master bathroom, I used it as a kind of test for my more elaborate plans for our kitchen island and I'm pleased with the results. Once all the work is done and cleaned up I'll try to post more photos!
