My first review in a few years. If you are having trouble getting your training wheels off, BUY THIS HANDLE. It took our 6 year old daughter 3 days to regain her balance and little did she know she could do it. The first day we tried training wheels which made a noise when she leaned side to side which frightened her. We removed the wheels and gained confidence that we would be locked up. It only took a tap on either side of the bar to correct the balance, but she kept turning her head to see if she was still holding on. She pedaled twice before losing her balance, unaware that she was doing it alone, but she was easily stabilized. On the second day she was able to do 5 spins, but she was beginning to feel like she wasn't being held. On the third day she walked almost 30 feet and I lied about holding a pen. On the 4th day, under the supervision of her mother and grandmother, everything clicked, and she drove a hundred meters and only needed help in the corner. She did it all without falling and learned to accelerate without dropping her bike. Now we've gotten to the point where I can barely walk next to her. This is one kid who has been overprotective his entire life, maintaining 3 points of contact every time he was more than 6 inches off the ground. Installation was easy, we will buy these as birthday gifts for our friends kids who are willing to kick extra wheels.
