Where was that when I was teaching my other kids to ride a bike? I'm still working on mastering the skill, but this pen is helping get my sneakers back!

After my back was killing me from trying to hold on to the seat and teaching my son to ride a bike I found this and it saved my life. Easy to set up and now I can walk straight and help teach him how to ride and keep him steady while he learns.

I totally agree with the logic that there is no point in having training wheels. As soon as our son was interested in cycling for the first time, I was enthusiastic. Only after about an hour I could barely walk because I was hunched over. Holding it with this grip makes it ridiculously easy and comfortable. Worth every dollar spent.

Added this to my granddaughter's 13 inch balance bike. Very easy installation with good instructions. The height of the grip is adjustable depending on the height of the seat post compared to the saddle. At least 1" of seatpost must be visible for installation. What protection for the back. I can help her cycle up the slopes, control her speed on descents, and balance her.

We have used this several times since we got it almost a week ago and can't believe we tried to get our son on a bike without it to train. It is much easier to hold our child and does not have to constantly bend down to hold the back of the seat. We just hope the quality lasts so we can use it for our next child when they are old enough.

In theory this grip is great but unfortunately it didn't suit the design of my son's balance bike as it was designed to mount on the seat post. The point of the grip for me was to control the bike while still lower and still learning to balance. With the current design, I can't use it until it's big enough to upgrade to another bike. I ended up sending it back, hope it works well for others!

We are a little late in switching to training wheels. My son was dying to learn but we struggled to keep him on the bike while running alongside him. We saw someone with this pen at the park and ordered it right away. travels completely alone in two weeks. It's a miracle! The seat moves depending on how you install it. Think of it as a short-term loss for a long-term gain :) I wish they would understand because you have to constantly adjust the seat.

My first review in a few years. If you are having trouble getting your training wheels off, BUY THIS HANDLE. It took our 6 year old daughter 3 days to regain her balance and little did she know she could do it. The first day we tried training wheels which made a noise when she leaned side to side which frightened her. We removed the wheels and gained confidence that we would be locked up.
