Review on HON Prominent Mesh High-Back Task Chair with Seat Glide, Adjustable Arms, Asynchronous Control - Black by Bethany Baker

UNCOMFORTABLE AND NOT MADE IN THE USA

Super pissed off I paid extra to buy from a company that claims to be American. The chairs are made in China. I could get more chairs for less if I didn't want to support American manufacturers. This chair would be a 3 star chair if they didn't hide the fact. BEWARE OF BAD REVIEWS. There's a chair. Big. You can set up asynchronous controls in many useless ways. It's amazing how long it takes to get this chair into a simple, typical sitting position. Once you have it there, you want to leave it in place. again because the chair is adjustable in so many useless ways. It's like adjusting the back and seat at ridiculous angles no one will use, into your basic "this is a chair" position. So what's the point of all these huge levers? I do not know. I had to add a coccyx pillow to the seat and a lumbar pillow to the back to make the comfort "bearable.”* The backrest adjusts up and down a few inches.* The backrest adjusts for forward lean. like a jockey leaning back a few inches above the vertical. * The seat cushion can be adjusted forwards and backwards by a few centimetres. * The seat cushion adjusts from leaning forward like a jockey to almost flat. * Armrests rise and fall and can move sideways and away from your body a few inches at a time. I thought it would be helpful. Again, he just switches from a useless position to a regular old chair. CHAIR Doesn't rock back and forth. You can recline the backrest a bit and you can adjust the seat from a waaaaaay forward tilt to seat height. It is not possible to raise your knees above your buttocks simply by leaning back in a chair or by tipping the seat cushion up. It really sucks. The armrests are stupid without the ability to adjust the seat cushions to rock back and forth and tilt in and out. They must support their hands while typing. It is not so. A person doesn't type with straight forearms, so concave rest pads are useless and uncomfortable and chafe on the elbows. The chair will be nice and big. I'm 5ft 9" with a 33" inseam and the height of the chair is high enough that I don't feel like I'm in a booster seat. However, it's not high enough for my legs to float. Overall I am disappointed in this chair and in myself for buying it thinking I would get a comfortable $200 US made chair. I should have known better. Always trust bad reviews.
