Outperforms all competitors in this price range. I saw a review calling it the best cheap speaker compared to others that cost a bit more so decided to give it a try when it was restocked. I'm very glad I did. I saved money, got an unexpectedly well-functioning sound system that is also aesthetically pleasing. For small rooms, the volume is more than adequate slightly below average performance. If you keep turning the volume up, it can get very loud. For example, loudly annoy the neighbors. The sound is rich enough to enjoy music and audio books. The mid to high range is pretty good. Of course, given the lack of a subwoofer, bass isn't impressive, but that's to be expected. The speakers look like the pebbles from the zen garden they are named after and are a delight to look at. I have white ones with rose gold center accents and they look classy. They're also quite small, which is great considering how small my table is.
