If there was a time when a webcam was a necessary peripheral, it's been in the last 18 months. I somehow managed without it by gently holding my phone in one hand several times when I had to show up for a Libra meeting. In the end I broke down and bought it. The picture quality is much better than my old one that I lost from the noughties. The build quality is comparable to more well-known brands. I shouldn't have waited considering how cheap it is. No complaints.
