Review on Black Diamond Rear Bench Seat Covers - Bestop for Jeep Wrangler 2003-2006 by Richard Cummings

I am giving these 3 stars because although I hate them my husband is very happy with them. The gray seat covers in my jeep have faded to almost purple and are showing signs of wear after a little over a year. I loved them though because they resembled the fabric of a backpack but were almost smooth like they had a teflon coating or something - very easy to twist or slide (important if you're wearing a skirt). I was going to order a few more but it turns out they are no longer made. So I read the reviews on several Jeep Wrangler forums and finally ordered them. I really don't like them and was going to send them back but my husband likes them so we put them in his jeep. He likes them because:* they fit very well and are easy to put on.* they feel well tailored (heavy fabric, strong seams, etc.). * The fabric is a jet black color and showed no signs of fading after an open-top summer. I hate them because: * Due to the texture of the fabric and finish, they're hard to slide or flip gracefully. * Due to the ribs, they are more difficult to wash. * You are too hot. * At first they smelled strange. FWIW, our two Jeeps are 2006 LJs.
