I can lock them in boxes and know they are safe and being fed. When we had severe tornadoes I was able to fit 5 out of 6 cats here and wheel them into the bathroom. I know he probably couldn't even take a direct hit, but I felt better knowing where they were. (The sixth cat was wild in my original review. He watched me put the rest away and gave me a "don't even think about it" look, so I left him alone.) I've used it, too. as a safe place to de-stress in a cat with anxiety disorders.
