I never liked fighting games like I used to because of the PS3/Xbox 360 controllers. Triggers always made it feel clunky. I never wanted to pay $200 for a controller, so I stayed away from Battle Sticks. Then I saw the HORI Fighting Stick Mini 4 and hesitated at โฌ40. I finally took the plunge after looking at the mediocre reviews, but I saw a YouTube review by Ronin24 and they said for $40 it's a damn good stick. Not as good as pro sticks, but still a damn good stick. Got it today, some Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is freaking awesome. The main problem I had with the UMvC3 with the pad was that it sucked to shoot the supers because I was pressing square and triangle with my thumb at the same time and I have small hands so sometimes I would rip them off and sometimes crackle them fail. I was now able to perform super moves effortlessly with this fighting stick. Processing quality is ok. It is immediately clear that this is a budget employee. The buttons aren't too fast, the joystick itself dangles but is still responsive. I've seen reviews that say this stick isn't for true fighting game fans, but that's like saying that once you pick up a Gibson Les Paul, you'll be a guitar god in no time will. You can learn how to play a cheap little guitar. You don't need an expensive flash drive to enjoy fighting games. I'm sure that sooner or later I'll finally be able to pick up a professional fighting stick, but for now this will do.
