Anyone who has to press in a bearing on a front wheel drive vehicle knows it's going to be no fun. Watching videos of people using a slide hammer to pry the hub out seemed like the only way to get the job done. But I saw another review mentioning they used this on Saturn and it worked fine so I spent a small fortune and got this. At first I thought the claws were pulling on the hub and the bolt was kinda pushing, so I didn't see how that could work. On the contrary, the grips are actually pressed against the knuckle, and the bolt pulls the hub from behind with a nut. Essentially, the claws are pushing, not pulling. I didn't even have to use a plate or washer on the side of the nut as the nut fitted perfectly between the hub and inner race. About 10 seconds with the air gun and the hub was on my garage floor. I will say the unexpected benefit of this is that the bolt is larger than the one that came with my bearing kit so I used that bolt. all the while after i lubricated it very well with moly grease. The only downsides are the price and that it doesn't come with every case.
