Not impressed - Car Audio

This is by no means a "150 watt" amp. not even 15W RMS. I tested it on three different speakers and got almost no audible response, even at maximum volume. When I bought it, I knew what it was: a pure mono-channel amplifier. It said: FOR: * Easy access to everything. CONS: * Little or no value. I meant a special application for it (portable guitar amp center). Also, I see no point in having a mono amp for an MP3 player*. Since it's rated for 12V and not 9V, it's obviously designed for in-car use. I see no point in this situation. There are better car amps out there that are far more versatile and powerful than this unit for the same price or less.* A stereo adapter plug for a mono unit is included. The idea behind this is clear (mixing channels into one) - but it still begs the question, why use a stereo input jack for a mono device? Why would anyone want a mono amp anyway?* Very low volume.* Rated as a stable 4 ohm device. The test showed 2 ohms. and it wasn't sustainable. In short, this is a single-channel, low-power device whose use is unknown and is doubtfully advertised as 150 watts peak (perhaps during a power surge) and 15 watts RMS - if reality is so. much less than anyone else. I had high hopes for its potential, but unfortunately I have to put it in the "poorly designed and useless device" category. To be honest I don't see the value in this device. If it had more power then it could be useful as a hobbyist amp. but it doesn't even work in that capacity. I requested a refund after the test. In my opinion, for solid purposes or projects, it can also be a brick. I agree with the reviewer who thinks it's a "waste of money".
