Review on Cable Matters DisplayPort DVI Adapter by Kevin Williams

I bought this to extend the display of my Dell Precision 4800 (with dock) to a third display. The workmanship is solid, the connections fit well and everything works as expected. However, I couldn't use it for its intended purpose as I realized late that I needed an "active" DP to DVI adapter to extend it to a third display and this model a "passive" " Adapter is. I still rate it 5 stars and use it when I need to display my screen on a projector. If you need an active adapter, I bought an Eyefinity-compatible gold-plated Active DisplayPort to DVI male-to-female adapter from Cable Matters.
