I've been a photographer for many years. One of the things you will quickly learn as a photographer is how highly manfrotto is rated by other photographers and the industry at large. I have owned exactly three Manfrotto units and have been totally disappointed on all three occasions. I took this hand to use in the studio. I wanted to use it to store small flags or similar items. Despite its attractive design and pleasing aesthetics, I quickly found that it completely failed in its only real purpose of holding things. No matter how hard I turn the screws, he loves to move. My first thought was maybe I overloaded it, so I checked its specs and can say with confidence, no, I'm not overloading it. It just doesn't work. I realize this is an unpopular opinion, but I have come to the conclusion that the Manfrotto is overrated. If you need an articulated arm, look elsewhere, that's bullshit.
