iTAC2 Sport Grip - Non-stick and non-irritating

Advantages: - Small size fits easily in a bag for reuse. falls over. Cons: - Very expensive for the amount of stuff you get. - The material is not sticky, so it does not increase grip on obstacles such as rungs, rings or climbing holds. - The material does not irritate roughened skin. . It looks like a chemical burn. I bought this iTAC2 Sport Grip to see if it would give me the best grip on ninja obstacles and for use in Obstacle Racing (OCR) where some obstacles get wet and muddy making them slippery. I took the product to the gym to test it in dry, controlled conditions versus other traction products. The iTAC2 sports clutch comes in a small box. The form is a waxy solid, similar to lip balm or deodorant stick. If the product actually worked I would ask the manufacturer if they could make the product in a dispenser like a deodorant stick. I simply took a small amount onto my finger and applied it to the palms of my fingers and the tops of my hands, paying special attention to my fingertips where I need grip the most. iTAC2 Sports Grip takes no time to dry which is good compared to other sports grip sprays which take some time for the aerosol solvent carrier to dry. The sport grip isn't sticky either, so my fingers didn't stick or leave sticky marks on obstacles like rings or bars. The iTAC2 sport grip does not feel sticky. It offers a slight improvement for gripping rings, bars and possibly salmon ladders where grip is achieved by maximizing the surface area of the palms and whole fingers. Unfortunately, it also doesn't improve finger grip or friction on things like cliffhangers, cannonballs, nunchucks (vertical fishing rod grips) when only the fingertips or less than half a finger are touching the obstacle. The iTAC2 sport grip is not as grippy or sticky. I've also tried dry climbing with one hand, rope climbing with only hands and couldn't tell any difference between the grip with and without the iTAC2 sport grip. The material also does not help to improve grip on wet obstacles. If anything, it made my hands more slippery on wet obstacles. As a final note, I accidentally got some of the iTAC2's sporty grip on the sides of my fingers (between my fingers). Not on calloused palms. On areas of skin that were not calloused, I had irritation that resembled a chemical burn. It was so bad that I had to quickly wash the iTAC2 with multiple washes of local soap and water. In summary, the iTAC2 offers no significant improvement in traction over obstacles where there is full finger-to-hand contact and little to no improvement with minimal contact area. It does not improve grip on wet surfaces, but rather harms it. iTAC2 does not irritate roughened skin surfaces. I do not recommend you to buy this product. Try products like Stickum, Pretape or Firm Grip Sprays which will greatly improve grip.
