I'm a conference presenter and a teacher, so I'm constantly connected to projectors. I was at a conference last winter when my HDMI to VGA conversion started failing and then fell apart in my hand. I decided never to go screwed again if I could, and I liked the Ugreen adapter because it looked like it wouldn't replicate the characteristics of a bad adapter. I bought Ugreen and am happy with it. . I'm so happy that now that I'm teaching abroad I've started to worry a little about what happens if I lose the adapter. As a result, I ordered and just received my second Ugreen adapter as a backup (just in case I lose my first backup). They wrote to me asking if everything was ok (bulk mail) and I decided to follow the link and tell about my experience. I would highly recommend this device (and now have two). With any HDMI-to-VGA, you may have problems with the sound output from your computer. The computer correctly recognizes that audio should be sent through the HDMI port and not through the headphone jack. The Ugreen adapter has a stereo output jack that usually solves this problem fairly neatly. Sometimes the computer thinks it still needs to route audio through the headphone jack, but that's a computer problem, not an adapter problem.
