Review on ACDelco GM OE πŸ”§ 214-2137 Vapor Canister Vent Valve by Joshua Douglas

Easy to replace. Save money and avoid the dealer!

Evaporator valve. The dealer told his wife that the replacement would cost $300. She called me and I told her to relax and that her traverse wouldn't explode if things went bad. That's the $30 piece. I don't understand how it costs $270 labor. However, I ordered this creature and went to install it. When I realized it was literally right under the hood without doing any circus perversions during installation, I was furious that the retailer was willing to pay that much. On a 2011 Traverse, you literally take the plastic engine cover off, disconnect the wiring harness to the sensor, unbolt the sensor and replace it. It literally took 10 minutes and most of the time I was looking for an extension for my ratchet! Save money, order online and do it yourself!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not all will fit
