Never repaired a rear end. My 2009 F-350 developed a launch slide when making a turn from a standing start. I revised the gearbox, changed the fluid in the differential and added a friction modifier. Vain. I took it to a mechanic who replaced the fluid and added modified friction ($150) after telling him I had already done it but had no luck. I finally decided to change the Sterling Trac lok locking couplers. I ordered this kit and made it myself without any special tools. It wasn't easy, but the problem was completely solved. The truck runs buttery smooth and the limited slip now works. Should have ordered and replaced this first rather than rebuild/balance the $500.00 transmission and then two fluid changes. It would be a lot cheaper.
