The dashboard mount is very strong and secure if your dashboard is shaped correctly. Unfortunately, the most comfortable place for me is in the cone, and the spring-loaded "claw" slips off. I managed to find a less comfortable place where it holds up very well. The only other issue I had is that you have to press the two buttons together to release and pick up the phone. But the phone (Iphone 12), when installed in it, blocks easy access to the buttons, which are then located behind the phone. Putting the phone in the holder is easy, but difficult to remove. However, the holder holds the phone very securely.
