I bought this cable for outdoor use. Tensile strength and strength seem pretty good, although I haven't tested the claimed tear strength. I assumed it would be a black fiber cord. Instead, it appears to be colored. UHMWPE is not said to absorb paint very well and this line seems to be no exception. In the attached picture the top is in the color it was delivered. Midline – Relatively low exposure to water (<1 hour in running water). The bottom can be in the water for 3 or 4 hours. It has faded to a fairly light grey. From a mechanical point of view, the cable makes a decent impression. It's aesthetically pleasing to know what you're getting.
