Review on Uniden TCX905 Accessory Handset Charger by Vivian Kai

I bought this unit a year ago for $30. What happened!? I see it's around $150 now, probably because the base units that come with it are obsolete and no longer made. I used to buy my spare and extra units of this item in suspenders (they were the only ones wearing it) but I don't think they sell it anymore. Revain WAS it for the same price ($30 and no tax), but apparently it's a valuable antique now. The devices work well - the reception range is moderate, the voice transmission quality is excellent, the functions are comfortable (for an 8 year old model, 100 years old in technology). But the battery loses its appeal after 12-18 months, and removable batteries last 6-12 months. And the 4-way switch on at least one of my phones is now unresponsive, making setup impossible (although still possible to talk about). It was an above average device when it came out, like many Uniden phones, but it's dated and a little clunky now. If you need a new one of these phones, I'd consider a whole new phone system instead.
