I am very disappointed with most of the soundbars that I have listened to. Even Yamaha. They all try to make up for the poor sound quality with sound effects and it sounds synthetic. like fake hamburger meat. 5.1 is a misleading term as soundbars cannot properly reproduce even simple stereo sound. For true stereo sound, you need to space your speakers far apart, so soundbars are essentially a low-end product. Unless they make a 10ft kayak-sized soundbar. Use the Klipsch active speaker solution. Home theater for a small city apartment. For watching movies, music and games. And they look very beautiful and elegant in your living room when paired with nice speaker stands. let's be honest Most of us who buy them don't want passive speakers as that route takes away all the convenience of a compact solution for a small apartment. You need to buy an audio/video receiver, an amplifier and cables. Then make sure they are all compatible. They combine the best of old school with new school features. With today's Smart TVs, all your audio can be automatically routed to these speakers via an optical cable. You can stream your music, chrome YouTube or use Bluetooth 5.0 or connect RCA cables (red/white stereo) or phono cables. What else do you need? SOUND QUALITY: Because Klipsch designed an internal amplifier in the cabinet of this speaker, it is perfectly optimized and there is no distortion at high volume. Klipsch also added a feature called "Dynamic Bass EQ" that delivers really powerful bass at low volumes. You place it close to the wall and you don't even have to buy an external subwoofer. At 30% volume, they're already loud enough if you're sitting 8-10 feet from the TV. Great for the living room. If you have a larger room, buy the larger cousin R51PM. PS4 games sound amazing on these speakers. Gunshots in Call of Duty Warzone sound bigger than they are in real life. Music is fun again and movies on Netflix and Amazon Prime are a lot more fun. The stereo effect is really obvious and I don't really feel the need for 5.1 surround sound speakers. The only review I have for Klipsch is this. Viewing or adjusting the bass is something more, but it's just a little bit of feedback. Most devices or apps have built-in equalizer settings anyway.
