A friend recommended the Ultra after I mentioned I was looking for a new hiking shoe/boot. I've only put 10 miles in them so yes they are brand new but they are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! The fit for my foot is perfect, they sit comfortably on the heel and sit great on the ball of the foot where many shoes are too tight. The shoes are light and very comfortable on the trail. I haven't walked through the water in them so I can't comment on their water resistance.
