8k LCD panel only. Everything else is 4k. This is basically a 4K TV
This TV does not display true 8K picture even if the LCD panel is 8K. When you feed this TV an 8k signal via HDMI, the signal is sampled to 4k and then the 4k signal is stretched/scaled to fill the 8k bar. As a result, half of the details are lost. But from a decent viewing distance, no one will notice the difference.
