REF. As with many other reviews, the return cable either won't stay in place or, like mine, is broken. Do not buy this item. Buy something else!

Works perfectly. Great feel and functionality. I had a problem figuring out which way the baseplate goes when installing, but it wasn't that hard to figure out.

Arrived on time, looks cool, had a little problem shifting after fitting, found the rear screw was too long so we cut it off, works great. Wife is very happy with it for her '63 buggy.

product doesn't work had to be replaced a few times just doesn't work looks really good but buy something else if you want to use it. The rewind stop button comes out when in use and the button latch breaks off. Don't fix it yourself

Shifter works well but I'm an adult and the handle seems made for a 5 year old. And when you get that, have a file ready because when they polished it, they also sharpened every edge of this thing. I had to file down all the edges to try it out so couldn't return it.

I like the look of this switch but I can't move the sifter (with switch plate) to the 1st and 2nd positions. I've tried moving it left, right, up or back and still can't get it to engage all 4 gears. Even without a switch, turning on the first and second is difficult.
