Cannot be installed as advertised without breaking

Unfortunately 6 out of 10 of these broke during installation. I've tried various methods (large screwdriver, ez-lock bit, metal blade, etc.) but each resulted in the top being cut off. My only solution to getting them to work effectively was to drill a hole big enough for the inserts to go in and then epoxy in place.

Pros
  • Double threaded brass insert for wooden faucet handle to make your own faucet handle
Cons
  • There are nuances

Not as easy as it sounds

If using these for a beer faucet handle, solid wood. It will NOT fit a 1/2" hole in hardwood, so it is NOT easy to install. And when the wood is soft, these things will clear the hole. It is not enough to make a threaded hole for a perfect fit. I ended up getting this thing, but it was very hard work. After that, they worked exactly as advertised.

Pros
  • Make your own faucet handle by drilling a 1/2" hole 5/8" deep
Cons
  • Not bad

Poor quality, good for home brewing and winemaking

I first ordered EZ Lok brass inserts from another company. Same style. Since I needed more quantity, I ordered from this company. There was an error. EZ Lok inserts are usually easy to install. It's not like this. This brand was not easy to establish as brass kept breaking. Of my order of 10 only 5 could be saved. I had several strips of EZ Lok. A few cracks inside out on reverse assembly after sanding the EZ Lok cutouts. I was less than impressed. Wasted time, money and unnecessary…

Pros
  • Screw this brass insert into the hole. This provides a standard faucet handle thread that will allow your homemade faucet handle to fit any standard faucet.
Cons
  • Some small things
