I was changing the generator outside when a neighbor distracted me while I was in the process of pulling the wires. I forgot to disconnect the negative battery lead from the battery and then when I disconnected the positive lead from the alternator it hit the case and arced with a loud bang from the built in 140 alt fuse. I put that fuse in there and thank heaven nothing else was damaged and the blown fuse did the job. As a side no. If you're doing what I did but in the middle of nowhere and…

Works as it should - problem solved

Great fuse! Make sure you know what you are doing - go to youtube and learn how to install this yourself - as it is quite tricky as the access to remove the old fuse is under the top bin and yes it is is screwed on. via a contact line. Be careful and turn off the power! After following all the instructions, you will enjoy your car again!
