These whistles are freaking loud and I love them. This gives the Scout a truly amazing sound. The stock tubes don't do the bike justice compared to the Vans and Highs. The instructions didn't help me much personally, but you can install it in about 30 minutes. USE STANDARD PIPE CLAMPS

Received and installed them two nights ago. You sound amazing. This rating would have been 5 stars except they sent me two bottom heat shields. The one with the Vance and Hines logo never showed up. The exhaust itself works and sounds like an exhaust should. Even better

These exhaust systems replaced the quiet ones on my husband's new Indian. They have an amazing sound. Not loud, just the kind of deep, throaty rumble bikers like. They were pretty easy to install and looked really good. Vance and Hines are available for questions and concerns which is nice.

A bit tricky to install would be a lot easier if the clamps fit, the thread was full at 1 turn and I had to use my original clamp to squeeze the inlet less, so I could put the Vance & Hines clamp on the inlet and then loosen the second clamp, never had to put the second Vance & Hines clamp on, had to use the original Indian clamp

I've been looking for the right whistles for my Scout for months. I wish I could express how amazing they sound. They have the perfect tone, growl and volume. They're loud, but not as loud as Trask or Dirtybird. You're far enough away that you can feel the rumble, but it's not uncomfortable. People are looking every which way on the block, you definitely don't have to worry about them hearing you!

Another person hit the nail on the head. The pipes are great. Period. End of the story. You will not regret your purchase. But the set sucks. Broken bolts, lock nuts not working properly, etc. The clip for the fairings that connect to the exhaust pipe broke the bolts twice. Went to the hardware store for new screws and they broke too. I took off the normal ones (it wasn't easy), put them on (not even that easy) but I can be sure they won't break. Hardware=trashPipes=delicious

With some basic knowledge, tools and a few hours they can be installed on an Indian Scout relatively easily. Looks and sounds a lot better than the stock exhaust. This will actually help you be safer on the road - they will both hear and see you when these pads are installed. No more "Stealth Mode" on your Scout.
