I replaced the vtec solenoid due to a leaking gasket. I decided to replace the whole thing as I had already removed it. Immediately the check engine light came on with code P2647 on my reader. Clearly a defective item. Don't trust this product! Absolute rubbish. What a waste of time and money. I should have left the OEM there.

Solid appearance; The gasket and filter appear to be of decent quality. The VVT switch on mine works, but the little plastic hook that the cord from my car goes into is oddly placed and won't hold my cord. I bought a separate switch elsewhere and everything seems to be going great! By the way, if you're looking for how to fix this bad boy, there's a YouTube guy named Scotty Killmore; His video was a HUGE help.

Good. This is my second. The first one from Ebay died after 20,000 km. Dealer wants $210 Honda part, $160+ online. Installation takes about 20 minutes (30 if using U-Tube video). Allow an hour for beginners! The second time it was all about three screws, less space but easily doable; the code worked immediately. Will update if there is a problem with it! The thing broke after 2 weeks and since it's been 31 days since I bought it I have to pay $130 to Autozone and lost my money here. The oil pressure check valve has already failed; it is part of this assembly. Replacing just the check valve is $70 at Autozone. I'm not waiting for my wife to stop working.
