Remains to be seen.

Read the reviews and did research before getting this. Installed today by a qualified repair shop. I upgraded to a 15000 thinking it would be a tad more powerful than the 13.5. The air coming out "seems" colder, but not impressed with the air flow. Remains to be seen if it can cool down at the same speed as my previous unit which had a higher air flow. Now here is the big problem for the lower stars: it is VERY loud inside my RV. Sounds like a diesel truck is outside. Not sure if this is because

Great unit in my review

We bought a 5th wheel that only came with 2 roof top ac units. One up front in master br and on over the kitchen living room area that is vented through the ceiling and vented to the back of the 5th wheel in the bunk house. Well the first camping trip the bunk house was hot a can be kids were sweating and we had 4 fans blowing back there. We have a roof vent in place over the bunk house with a 14x14 hole. Called manufacturer to ask if my unit was prepped for 3rd ac gave them the Vin # they said

Deceptively powerful

I installed this unit myself. It was easy hook up, though special care needs to be taken when installing the indoor component to make sure you're aligning it correctly. At first, I was frustrated by the low volume of air I felt coming out. I thought that I'd just traded my 13.5KBTU unit for something that only claimed to be 15KBTU. but it was installed so I'd just see what happened. The unit does not stay on all the time in the southern Florida heat like my Dometic. At first I thought it just…

  • ‎1300 watts
Cons
  • Despite being advertised as a quiet AC unit, the 15K BTU Ducted RV Air Conditioner can still be quite noisy, making it difficult to relax in your RV when it is running

It was a great price.

My husband installed this unit. Everything went great with the installment. It looks great too. We haven't got to go camping yet. We have tried it out and it works great. We believe when we do go camping on our next trip, it's going to be a big help for the other air condition that's in the front of the camper. The inside part looks great also and we like that it has a remote control.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Heavy on Power: The 15K BTU Ducted RV Air Conditioner requires a lot of power, making it unsuitable for RVs or motorhomes with limited power supply
