This solved my problem!

My son suggested trying this to solve my overheating problem. It's good to have a smart son! The ECU would not turn on the fans even after replacing all the switches and relays. The thing worked perfectly. I had to buy an adapter to install in line with the radiator hose because. There was nowhere to mount the switch. In this case, be sure to ground the adapter. Also, the brown wire needs power for this to work. I connected it directly to the battery so the fan runs for about 4 minutes after a…

tested for a month and seems to work great

I bought this to match the new electric fan I installed on my hot rod. I actually did this the first few times I started the engine and it ran great. The original OEM fan didn't do the job so with the new electric fan and shroud it cools from 190 to 170 in just over a minute so I like the switch and it was easy to install. I routed the power wire to the switch and inside to my fuse box. 20 minute job with temperature sensor installed. Good price and it works, fingers crossed it lasts.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • boring packaging

The instructions could be a lot more detailed but this is a very basic relay so better instructions and diagrams are easy to find elsewhere. Note: This will only work if all wires are properly connected. The brown wire needs to be connected to a 12V power source. Also, only one sensor adapter is included, so prepare to find everything you need for your purpose. I'm a little concerned that the relay case isn't airtight, so I installed it with a more protective cover and waterproof connectors…

Nice looking kit with lots of extras

I ordered this kit for an older machine with an electric fan because the button switches keep failing. This seemed like the best answer, and it looks like it's going to work great. I ended up not using it because the gauge's thread size (advertised as 3/8-18 NPT) was too big for me. Typical sizes for many of these kits are 1/8-27 and I foolishly assumed the 3/8-18 listed was a large adapter. This is not the size of the block itself and now it seems obvious when you look at it in the picture…
