Good choice - compost bags

They are great - way better than other branded bags I've used for years. It's just the two of us and sometimes the compost bag sits longer than other compost bags can handle. I've had pleasant disturbances in the past. But now it's not such a problem. I will add that I line the inside of the bag with brown kraft paper boats, for example, you can put french fries inside. It helped a lot, even with bags from other brands. I will continue to use the liner with these bags.

Pros
  • bin, compost and lawn bags
Cons
  • old

They had a great product but ruined it

I started buying these compost bags about six months ago after much research. I was very excited to find that they are perfect. They were strong enough and a great green color. FlashForward is about five months old and I was surprised to find them changing color to white. I was hoping that doesn't mean they changed the composition of the bag as well. It must be because they are now very brittle and tear easily, making them difficult to actually use as compost bags.

Pros
  • Household Products
Cons
  • Expensive

Easy to clean but not biodegradable

We use them to cover a large plastic compost bin that we keep in our kitchen cupboard. The only thing that really helps is that the plastic bin is a little easier to empty and clean. I just toss all the compost, bags and all, in the outside compost. I don't think the bags decompose at all. So I regularly turn the composter upside down, catching any plastic bags and then throwing them away. However, we continue to use them because they cause less odor in the kitchen waste and make cleaning…

Pros
  • paper and plastic
Cons
  • thin
