So glad I found this part! Now my trunk locks and locks so I don't have to worry about leaving my car unattended for long periods of time.

Perfect replacement for a bad selenoid in a 2012 (or 2014 I don't remember) Beetle. No problem if you carefully remove the entire hatch panel.

Exact OEM replacement, hope it will work for a while, bought another competitor out of stock, worked less than a year. Let's see how long this one lasts!

Very cheap, very easy to install, give me five minutes for it. The mechanic said $185 to replace a broken latch, here it only cost me $21.00. thank you very much

Aside from the typical mechanical difficulties of working on a VW, this was easy to install and works great. This time I didn't have to remove the wheel or anything, but I did need a totally unnecessary splined/triple square bit to turn the lock on/off. It is in no way a problem with the part.

My dealer and other mechanics told me it would cost around $350 to replace. I was very happy to find this part and it worked! I also had to order a triple square head bit, I just ordered a set and one of these worked. I'm a single mom with a mechanical bent who isn't afraid to do most things with my own hands! I replaced this latch on a 2012 VW Beetle and it works great. The original latch is dead, won't close, vibrates for 5 seconds when trying to open the latch. Replacing this latch is very easy and requires a 12 point M8 Torx bit; However, the 4 inner panels on the rear door have to be dismantled beforehand, which requires a lot of work. The original part number 5M0827505F is $186.67 so I saved $165 plus labor. I assume the PN suffix "F" is the version code and "5M0827505E" purchased from Amazon…
