Great little inverter!

The 300w Giandel inverter was able to power/charge my Chromebook and cellphone at the same time and it wasn't even enough to turn on the fans. As a result, his work was completely silent! The inverter has an approximately 0.3 meter cable to connect it to a 12 volt socket in the car. It comes with a carrying case and 2 extra 35A fuses. Due to the way the inverter is constructed it manages to convert the 12V power from your car into a sine wave power signal which is smoother and more efficientโ€ฆ

The unit I received could not support 200W

I connected the unit received directly to 2 of my truck batteries in parallel (while running) via a high amp outlet with short 14AWG leads plugged in, but it couldn't even support 200 watts (tested with a Kill-A-Watt meter) without shutting down with a red LED and an alarm - the standard notification for all issues: low voltage, high voltage, over current, etc. I suspect the Overcurrent circuit set had booted up incorrectly or had a faulty component as the 600w surge wasn't even close - I usedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Expensive

Bought on sale at a very competitive price. My expectations weren't high, but I was wrong. First I connected an oscilloscope. Good pure sine wave at 60Hz. The no load current was then measured at 0.25A at a supply voltage of 12.6VDC. Measured power consumption at 8.5 W AC low load. The DC consumption was 1.22 A DC at a conversion efficiency of 55%. A 48 W AC load was then connected and the current drawn was 4.6 A DC for a conversion efficiency of 82%. The case stayed cool and the fan never came

Impressed with stable performance

I have two CPAP batteries that needed charging during a recent 9 day trip. Unfortunately, I have found that my 175 watt Duracell inverter is not powering the PSU that charges the batteries. It worked fine for my camera charger but not for the CPAP charger. I did some digging and found that for charging certain types of devices like CPAPs, inverters need to be purely sinful to deliver the correct power. After reading various articles about power input conversion, I settled on this 300W inverter.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Not usual usage of this 300w inverter.

I am making these hobby projects for my friends so I hope you can try some DIY. Correct wire gauges, for me it's 10 gauge = 30a and should be the same so you get the most performance this little beast can offer. I have provided you with some photos. I usually just take this campground and everyone just pays but sometimes I take it and go to the lake like last year for the Super Bowl and I bring a TV and a table and some chairs and we watched the Super Bowl. Absolutely no problem, I was curiousโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Elegant Design
Cons
  • Vulgarity

I tested a similar 300W Bestek with the same hardware. This one is weaker, but it resets automatically after shutdown, so you don't have to flick the power button after a failure! This is also quieter and consumes only half as much power in standby (1/4A, 3W). But this consumes significantly more power at full load. Choose your poison. Powering a 90w LED headlight (switch mode power supply) took 100w from my battery, 90% efficiency. Two 180W headlights consumed 210W. Add a soldering ironโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

The pro forma is good, but the chassis is offset slightly.

Performance: I installed this operation on two diesel car batteries with a 16awg adapter. On the AC side, I ran a 20 foot thick extension cord to my computer's UPS with a built in AC meter. My UPS accepted it as a secure power source for transmission to my computer, capable of powering both devices and also charging the UPS batteries. When first plugged in, the load was about 260W and then dropped to 200W as the UPS batteries charged. The frequency was exactly 60 most of the time. Once it wasโ€ฆ
