You have a trick I still don't understand

I spent several hours cutting and dicing some LED strips to make the light bigger. Sometimes the material connected quite well, and sometimes the wires continued to stretch. I ended up soldering the connectors in several places because I couldn't get the connector to work. They work, are difficult to open and almost plug in on the first try, but with poor eyesight and shaky hands it took a while to partially complete my project. As I said, I ended up soldering two connectors to make the LEDsโ€ฆ

This is a poorly designed product with misleading advertising

If the seller is displaying their product *with cords attached* in a marquee, then this product should come *with cords attached!* This is a scam" is cited in this review due to the poorly designed cable clamp mechanism, ie it does not work well and results in an unreliable connection. These issues should be blamed squarely on the Chinese manufacturer/seller and Revain itself for recognizing this duplication in their "market" "support". Reading this, you can commend Revain for not censoring atโ€ฆ

Good idea but these connectors are junk

I bought these after returning similar connectors that used wire piercing prongs and LED strips (it was junk - the connection was so bad the LEDs turn on and off with the slightest touch ). This style suffers from the same poor connectivity issue. The lights stay on, but there's a noticeable flicker that goes away once you hold the strap in the right position. Unacceptable. I used solid wire so I don't think it's a short. I found the problem was with the pins that are supposed to clamp the tape

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Nothing here

Makes installation easy

My first installation in my house I soldered everything together. While this is a great solution that doesn't take much time, it makes installation difficult, either by pulling wires/lights that are already connected or. Solder once in place. With them it is quite easy to install and connect all the wires. Everything looked pretty secure, but I taped it anyway to keep it even tighter and in place. Tip: If you put everything in place and THEN put everything together, leave about 1/4 inchโ€ฆ

Definitely not universal.

A few notes: the product description says it is suitable for a range of wire gauges. This may be true for some large wires, but certainly not for 22 AWG wire. The terminals do not pinch the wires (at the point of contact OR stripped through the entire thickness of the insulation) to hold them in place. As a result, I soldered the contacts of this "solderless" connector. The pins on the side of the wires are bowl shaped (if you have a tool that fits in there you could pinch them) which are goodโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Simple and easy to use!

These clamps were very easy to use. I used them on a strip of 8mm Wobane LED bulbs and some 18 gauge DC pigtails to install lights in my Detolf display case and they were quick, simple and easy to use. All I had to do was strip the ends of the red and black wires on the pigtails, insert them into the clearly marked locations on the correct end of the terminal, then close and snap the latch on the end of the wire and they were locked in place. Then all I had to do was line them up with the LEDโ€ฆ
