Once you get the hang of it, it shows

Although this product is difficult to use at first, it's awesome! I recently had hamstring repair surgery which left me with an incision that leaked fluid in a very tricky area under my butt for several weeks. Most bandages and tape ended up leaking as it's difficult to cover those curved, hard-to-reach areas, but this tailored roll has allowed us to reduce client measurements and ensure we have more than enough coverage to stop awkward leaks to avoid . It is also moisture resistant enough to…

Ideal for recovery after cosmetic surgery!

I bought this for a cruise we were going on. I had a breast reduction 2 months ago and the recovery took much longer than expected. I had some spots that were still healing and on the advice of my surgeon I was told not to go in the pool or water during my cruise. What I did. Well I bought this glue to maybe keep my healing wounds dry and they did just that! I had no problem going in the pool and diving in the sea! Before applying the glue, I wiped the skin surface with alcohol wipes. After…

Must Buy - First Aid Tape

This is the bandage you should have at work and at home. If you or someone else is injured (open cuts, bleeding) after cleaning the wound and applying an antiseptic, cut a piece of gauze large enough to cover the wound, and then cut a piece of gauze large enough to cover the gauze about 1 inch on all sides. Then remove the bottom protective film and place it on the injury, then take off the top one and place a waterproof plastic cover on the wound. This will flex and allow you to work without…

Great for tattoo healing

My tattoo artist recommended using this as a bandage during the healing period of a new tattoo and it has worked fantastic. I've treated tattoos before without them and they were all pretty tedious processes involving lots of soap, water, moisturizing lotion and of course itching. Through some medicinal black magic, the Tegaderm Bandage acts as a sheath that seals and protects the tattoo and allows it to breathe. As long as you clean the area well before applying it will also remain sterile. I…

Great product wrong design for my needs

Disappointed. I have been using Tegederm film as a wound dressing for a year because I have lymphoma and every wound requires careful care to avoid or manage infection. Tegederm, which is sold in boxes, often doesn't match the commercially available non-stick dressings, so I always have to trim which can contaminate the dressing. So I sent Revain for a roll version that was advertised as having the benefit of being able to be cut to any size. Well, that's only half the story. For example, you…

Great for healing tattoos!

I've tried various tattoo wraps (Saniderm, CVS brand waterproof bandage and second skin) and this is probably my favorite at the moment. It's nice and thin, and once the pain and swelling go down you kind of forget it's even on you. I left this bandage on for up to 5 days and it adhered perfectly and protected the tattoo very well. There are several tricks to get good results with this type of bandage. First, the skin around the tattoo must be good. both clean and dry. I like to wipe the area…

It's great to find a bandage I'm not allergic to

I have an allergy to glue because latex and even acrylic are being used more and more in bandages and medical plasters. (Note for those who are also allergic to acrylic: I bought some sports tape that said NO LATEX. Putting the tape on my shoulder caused blisters in less than a minute. We removed the tape and healed severe rashes and blisters. Me searched the whole box to find the ingredients of the glue.In very small printing I found out that acrylic was used in the glue.) I knew I wasn't…

The best thing since Band Aids!

I first bought Tegaderm from Walgreens to put on a medication patch that wouldn't close but had to be worn for 3 days and kept coming off by the end of the second day. The doctor told me about Tegaderm. Walgreens sold this product both branded and generic but both were very expensive so I decided to see if I could find it at Revain. Unlike Walgreens, I found this wonderful big roll and then... I started to figure out all sorts of ways to use Tegaderm. My family now uses Tegaderm for so many…
