I have long hair but it's ok and the French clips are too long for fine hair. My hair doesn't cover it and it overlaps because it's too big. They must be made in 2 sizes. For me it was a waste of money. Only buy them if you have thick or thick hair or else you're wasting your money.

I wanted to give this product one star because it doesn't work well for little girls or women with fine hair. Ribbons break easily and they come in the ugliest colors. It's incredibly hard to make it look good when the black foam is showing. (Again I have used this with children). However, after playing with it for a while, it worked much better after folding the foam and metal ends an inch on each side. Holds up well because it's made of metal. Great idea, but the tapes stick to the foam and can come loose. In addition, the tips of the foam rubber are visible through the hair. It is better if the ends are completely wrapped with tape so that no black clumps stick out of the hair. My hair is long, quite thick, ash blonde.

It's too big for my hair. No matter how much I work with it, some of the black foam is visible. I'm probably better off making my buns the old fashioned way and finding a ribbon. Maybe for people with a lot of hair?
