Husband could not figure out how to work with them even watch YouTube videos. I don't see the back of my head to try. My husband is very talented at figuring things out so I don't think they are that good.

To be honest, it's easier to learn a French or Dutch braid than to use those things. Unless you have curly, curly, curly, or otherwise textured hair, bobby pins are essential. It's also inconvenient and difficult to learn how to use, even with written and video instructions from multiple people. I may not be able to braid my hair, but next time I'll skip it.

Obviously you won't get it on first try so don't rate this product based on. However, I have the 2nd attempt in the photo - which is actually not bad! I recommend looking up instructions on YouTube - I had no idea you had to flip that first. But he really does what he says! Great buy for less than $10 and you get 3! I see I'm getting used to it pretty quickly. My hair is shoulder length, super thick and very vivacious. These still work :)

There must be a DVD with it because I always have the end sticking out and I have to pin it with my hair. It's not that bad, I can do a crown braid and it looks "almost" like a braid, but it really needs better instructions. It's hard to do it myself, but I use it. Keep taking it out, it's not that easy.

Maybe I'm just uncoordinated but I can't make the advertised braid out of it. My hair is thin and layered just below my shoulders. I think these brands are for thicker and longer hair.

Although it looks so simple on the video, it is very difficult for a person to use it. Working blindly, I could not smoothly feed the strands of hair at the back of my head into the machine.

It was ridiculously difficult, I tried old school. Again and again and again. Then I watched how to weave a French braid for beginners on YouTube and did it myself in about 5-10 minutes. I also learned other braids. I got rid of this plastic waste. Sorry to be harsh but just sharing my personal experience.
