Wrong tape!'n: Computer Components

If you just want a metal heatsink that's fine, but you need to remove the adhesive. About the fact that it's some stupid foam rubber double-sided tape. Anyone who decides to stick tape on a RADIATOR should be fired! CAUTION This tape is not designed for heat transfer.

Ideal for internal components

They connect easily and cool my stepper motors so I can print at higher speeds. Once applied they will not come loose, strong adhesive. Note: If you are using these on a 3D printer like the Creality you will need to attach them to the side of the Z stepper motor and remove the fins from the one attached to the Y stepper motor to have enough room to move the bed.

Hot melt pad is ineffective

hot melt pad does not conduct heat well. It's marked 3M but doesn't work like 3M pads. The lettering is also different from what identifies 3M thermal pads. 3M provides the part number and other text - see https://www.amazon.com/8-8x8-8x0-15mm-Thermally-Conductive-Adhesive-heatsink/dp/B07VJ6N6TM. The one already installed only has 3M. The adhesive works well, but the pad is more insulating than heat transfer. The cooler featured a 40 x 40 fan with an airflow of 5.75 ± 10% cfm.
