I purchased this for my pre-school grandson, who has a placemat of the 50 states already and loves to do puzzles. 50 Pieces is a lot for a pre-schooler, but this one has the pictures of the states in the base, which makes it easier for a child to match the piece to the place it goes. My only complaint is that the Upper Peninsula somehow became part of Wisconsin in this puzzle, but that became a humorous point for our family of Michiganders!

When I bought this item it was a map of the Earth and many of the names of the oceans and continents were spelled incorrectly (example: Athantic Ocean rather than Atlantic Ocean and Asian instead of Asia)

This map shows the upper peninsula of Michigan as part of Wisconsin. As a person born and raised in Michigan this is offensive!

This is was a gift for my greatgrandson so he can learn not only where the statesare but the capitals. Well made and just like the one I had when I was little.

Disappointed that the puzzle pieces are not individually separated. I bought with the intention of teaching my children the states and where they are geographically, but the majority of states are grouped as 1 large puzzle piece. Not what I pictured.

I bought for my 5 and 2 year old. They love it and have learned about the location of the states. It's a good learning puzzle.

My toddler grandchildren absolutely love this puzzle. It's challenging yet they are able to assemble it just fine. I would highly recommend this puzzle as a first step in teaching geography.

This USA map puzzle (made in China) is really small, impossible to lift out states individually because the sides are flush, there are no "pegs" to lift them out like in the old days, and it's thin, cheap wood. There are anomalies with the shapes of many states that are just plain inaccurate. I'm really surprised anyone liked this thing. This should be removed from Best Buy for the inaccuracies alone!

I liked the colorfulness and educational qualities of the puzzle but I would have liked for the material to be actual wood.I am pleased to give these puzzles to two great grandsons.

I would have given this puzzle 5 stars except Massachusetts did not have Boston shown on the state outline although it was on the list of states below the map. Some of the smaller states are combined on one piece. Overall though a good sturdy puzzle.

This puzzle was exactly what I was looking for; it's perfect for a child (ages 4-7). Most importantly, being a wooden puzzle, it's very sturdy. The pieces or the frame gets bent as they do in many types of materials used in kids puzzles. It's colorful and does not have so much "stuff" about each state on the pieces, that it is cluttered. Each piece has the name of the state, the state capital (with a star) and one picuture of something that the state is known for; for example Florida - oranges.

Guess I should have picked up on the "21 piece” part before ordering and then being disappointed it’s not a better learning tool for my toddler. It’s okay otherwise but never going to be the best way to teach the states.

Disappointed, did not realize some of the states came connected on one puzzle piece. Makes it harder to teach a 2 year old toddler individual states. It’s probably more for an older kid.

Did not contain as much information as my old puzzle. Was not as nice as my old puzzle .Price was considerable for the puzzle size and durability .

This was purchased for my 88 yo sister. She and daughter (58yo) have trouble with putting pieces together. We wonder how a 3yo could do this.My sister has short term memory loss. Bought this for her since she moved to Oregon and I am in LA. Helps her realize distance and fun to do.Wish the pieces fit together better.

We use this as a memory aid device for an elderly parent. I precision spray painted the inside of the puzzle board so as to not provide a guide for the states, So by memory the states could be assembled into the puzzle board, very happy.

I bought this for my 4 year old neice. She loves it! I bought another for my 10 year old daughter who is always curious about all the states. Great product!

Map of the USA is sturdy, colorful, and easily assembled because of matching colors. My granddaughter loves it. May not be as visually attractive or eye-catching as other puzzle designs.
