Great for regrinding

Excellent chisel for masonry and regrinding. I undersold it just a little but overall I would recommend it to my friends and buy it again if the need arises.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Expensive

Right tool.: Power tools and hand tools

This is the right tool for sharpening. This is a good size to hold and handle. It's holding up well considering the situation. In my experience, Dasco builds good instruments.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • all right

Most used of my chisels

I remove bad red brick from the front of my house and this was my chisel for removing dirt from the back inside corners of the removed bricks. Very durable. It looks like it's going to take forever.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Not a Dasco brand - Chisel

I have ordered this tool twice and both times I received a Bon tool (made in China) and no Dasco brand tool (made in USA). Revain for the same Dasco 476 tool - if you want to keep the Dasco brand I'd try (or at least avoid) one of these lists.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Cannot be used with this tip

The tip of this chisel (the most important part of any chisel) isn't even properly shaped to be used. I'm not sure how or where the cutting width was measured at the factory (which is also unclear as to where it was made from various labels on the tool) when it says it's a 3/16" chisel.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
