    I don't know anything about this thing

    I've been trying for hours to connect it to my 5.1 surround sound system to no avail. I have the best audio engineer I've known in 45 years. He drove to my house (two hours away) to do it for me and gave up after a few hours, eventually giving in too. And by the way, it has a blue light that dazzles in front of the receiver that flashes when it's off, totally stupid. Very bad design and it doesn't work.     I really wanted this system to be my favorite, it had a lot of attractive features, especially for the $160 price tag. However, the IR receiver for the remote control did not work immediately. The remote itself worked fine, but the system was not receiving a signal from the remote.     Just be aware that if you are using a Blue Tooth device you will not get full 5.1 surround sound as the surround channels do not work! if my receiver is defective immediately. When I try to turn the surround speakers on or off, the receiver displays an error. At first I thought it might be my wiring, so I hooked up an FM antenna to see if the radio was playing 5.1.     This is my first home theater receiver. The price was a steal for me as I didn't want to spend a lot as I had already spent $500 on the Klipsch 5.1 Cinema Reference Kit. I'm not sure what the negative reviews are about. Boohoo, you have to use 2 remotes, no mistake, because your TV doesn't support them. Setup is easy, it took me less than an hour to route the wiring and connect the HDMI cables. I'm not sure of all the issues people have considered using the ARC feature, I use the cheapest smart

    Poor integration with Samsung TV and Xfinity

    I bought this unit to use the Bose 701 analog speakers to output sound from my 55" Samsung TV. Here is why I am returning this block: 1. I have a 23 year old JVC home theater receiver which is dated but works. I sent audio from my Samsung to the receiver (with PCM) via Digital Optical and then to the Bose speakers via speaker wire.
