Mounting screws are crap!

The mounting screws broke, even after I predrilled. I had to replace all the screws with deck screws. The bracket seems to be sturdy, however unless you have quality screws available, I do not recommend this product.

Pros
  • Very well made great quality.
Cons
  • The fact that the product is manufactured in Taiwan may lead some buyers to question its quality or ethical production practices

Would not recommend

The black color finish chips off easily, the screws are cheaply made, twisted off and broke with a pilot hole. There’s no way this product can be referred to as "heavy duty”.

Pros
  • I replaced the "gold" finish hardware with these. I think the black hardware modernized the look.
Cons
  • The zinc die cast material may not hold up well in outdoor or high moisture environments, potentially leading to rust or corrosion
