Faulty Gauge, Waste of Money

According to my experience, this gauge is completely inaccurate and unreliable. The needle constantly jumps around and gives false readings. The installation process was also difficult and time-consuming.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Inaccurate, difficult installation

Worked as expected and fixed oil gauge

Bought hoping it would fix my oil pressure gauge problem in my 2002 Ram 1500 4.7L V8 and it did. It was very easy to remove and install. It must have taken 10 minutes, now my oil pressure sensor is working again. Can't comment on durability as I've only driven the truck a couple of times since installing it while troubleshooting other issues.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Slightly dented

OLD PRESSURE SENSOR

Once the old sensor was removed, installing the new one was a breeze. Attempting to remove the old sensor was tricky as there is a very small clip on the cable tail which nobody mentioned, contrary to the YouTube videos showing the removal. On my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9V-8, the sensor was probably never removed. Incidentally, the mounting bracket for the pigtail is located just above the horizontally located red plastic bracket. The red plastic clip must be released before the pigtail detaches…

Pros
  • HARD TO REMOVE Electrical
Cons
  • Operating Speed
