I use these tapes for my wedding video business. Since I switched to this tape, I have never had a single file with tape damage. Highly recommended for business.

Predictable, consistent performance. They are durable but over time it will come time to replace them due to the drips and gaps that form over time.

I have been using this brand for 5 years. Four years ago I had a couple of problems with two tapes that resulted in severe signal drop outs. Then I switched to Panasonic and there were never any dropouts. However, the Sony had a stronger signal, which is important in low light conditions. So I switched back to Sony. and use it with my Canon HV-30.

Without a doubt, the Sony DVM63HD is an amazing cartridge. It's very sharp and the sound quality is excellent. The extra 3 minutes help when filming concerts and theater performances. It works great in low light conditions. However, it has one problem: distribution. It's almost impossible to find this product outside of the US except on the internet. And that's a disappointment.

That was a great deal IF you could get free shipping on it (which I did). Additional shipping costs increase the price of the tape. You can find a deal for 5 packs and it's the same type of tape and the cost of the tape is a little less. service difference. The record store has ALWAYS helped me, there have never been any delays, excuses or damaged shipments and when you're working on deadlines like we are, that's extremely important.
